Day Thirty-Eight

Big milestones today! The flooring is completely finished, and so is the guest bathroom! The tile guy has now shifted his focus to the master bath, where we decided on a unique tile layout to give it a custom feel. We chose to lay the tiles in a "Charleston Herringbone Pattern," and as the tiles go down, I'm thrilled to see the intricate details coming together.

Amidst our renovation progress, we're facing a personal challenge at home. Our 16-year-old dog is nearing the end of his life, and it's a tough time for us. He's lost the function of his back legs intermittently, has to wear a diaper and is in considerable pain. We're preparing ourselves for the possibility that we may need to make a very hard decision in the next few days if he doesn't pass peacefully on his own.
